Chondroitin and Collagen Complex - Quality
Raw Materials: We use only cartilage from 100% New Zealand free range, pasture fed cattle in the manufacture of our Chondroitin & Collagen Complex products.
Freedom from BSE: New Zealand is completely free of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) and all other TSE's, and unlike many other countries has never had a single case of BSE. A comprehensive surveillance programme is in place to prevent the entry of TSE agents into New Zealand.
Antibiotics and Growth Promotant Hormones: Antibiotics are not permitted to be used for growth promotion purposes in New Zealand livestock, and the use of hormonal growth promotants is extremely limited, and not permitted at all for product destined for the EU market. Where these compounds are used, the animal is permanently registered on a national database, and there is a specified witholding period that is strictly enforced before the animal can be sent for processing.
Manufacture: Chondrotin & Collagen Complex are manufactured using specialised, proprietary manufacturing processes at Waitaki Biosciences purpose built and fully licensed manufacturing facility.
Packaging:
Chondroitin & Collagen Complex are packaged in heat sealed foil laminate bags inside a
polyethelene lined export grade cardboard carton to provide maximum shelf life. As an additional assurance, an individually numbered,
tamper proof, official government seal is placed over the top and bottom carton joins.
Standard package size is 20kg (44.1lb) for Chondroitin Sulphate Complex or 15kg (33.1lb) for Soluble Collagen II Complex and Collamex powder.
Export Certification:
All exported product is accompanied by a veterinarian signed, New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) health certificate. This is an official, government issued document certifying that the product is fit for human consumption and export eligible. The health certificate also verifies the raw material source and enables traceability back to the date and area of slaughter.
