glandular powders Waitaki Biosciences uses only glands collected from 100% New Zealand raised animals. New Zealand cattle and sheep are free range, and pasture feeding is the norm. Waitaki maintains strict guidelines with suppliers regarding cut and trim of raw glands to ensuring quality and consistency of the finished material.
Freedom from BSE and Scrapie: New Zealand is completely free of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) and all other TSE's, including scrapie. Unlike many countries, New Zealand has never had a single case of BSE and a comprehensive surveillance programme is in place to prevent the entry and spread of TSE agents in New Zealand.
Manufacture: Waitaki uses gentle processing techniques, including freeze drying for all glandular products. This preserves the delicate active components in the finished product and ensures maximum efficacy. All manufacturing takes place at Waitaki Biosciences fully export licensed facility in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Packaging: All glands are packed in heat sealed foil laminate bags inside polyethylene lined export grade cardboard cartons. As an additional assurance, an individually numbered tamper proof government seal is placed over the top and bottom carton joins.
The standard pack size for glands varies according to type - but ranges between 10 kg (22 lb) and 20 kg (44.1 lb) net weight.
Export Certification: All exported glands from Waitaki Biosciences are accompanied by a veterinarian signed New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) health certificate. This is an official government issued document that certifies the goods are fit for human consumption and are export eligible. The health certificate also verifies the raw material source and enables tracability back to the date and area of collection.
